Nordic Pulse

Yesterday, Saturday, was our opening day, and it was great to see a whole lot of familiar faces picking up season passes and heading out. There were some brave ones right at opening time when the temperatures where still quite chilly, and the sun brought more out later.

We also welcomed back our Piston Bully from its summer vacation. We will need a bit more snow and a compact base before we can fire her up for real. It felt good to be back in the driving seat, even if it was just for a drive across the parking lot.

Ski Trails

Expect early season conditions on the trails, the snow has packed down, watch out for thin spots, and expect varied conditions on the ski trails. We don’t have enough snow to set classic tracks yet. The trails such as Moose, Mill Brook and Uncorked that are largely in the woods are not open yet. Check in with the trail center staff for conditions before you head out.

Fat bike and snowshoe trails

We have packed out 4 miles of our trails, be aware that we have not checked the rest of the trails for fallen trees, wet spots etc. , and can’t vouch for their condition. Once we get more snow we will be able to groom some more bike trails.
