Threw down a couple of handfuls of narrow skate surface, some areas with a double pass.
snow was rather hard this morning on the lower trails but everything from the gold mine on blue ridge up came out the best.

It may not seem like winter with the warm temps and record low snowfall but remember blue ridge plays by its own set of rules... ITS ALWAYS WINTER ON BLUE RIDGE! Grab your skis and get over here for conditions better than what's on the current Olympic course right now! We'll see you up there.

Update after consulting with our grooming team and Nordic center.
“Due to unprecedented weather and trail conditions we are restricting skiing to Travis and Bamse today. We would highly suggest not skiing today as the trails are saturated and will not be enjoyable anyway. With our low snowpack skiing on the trails with the given conditions would have the potential to damage our very thin base to the point where we won’t be able to repair it for the rest of the season. Please consider other options for your outdoor activities today. This is unfortunate but if we can all stay off the trails in the short term we’ll hopefully still have good trails to ski later this season. Thank you for your understanding. Update after grooming some this morning.
The new snow we got was pretty warm and had a lot of moisture in it as well as the underlying surface snow still has not dried out all the way so we only ran a handful of loops and will let other trails rest a little longer to dry out some more.
