Early this morning, Lynx, portions of Banff Loop and Banff Trail, and Nagano received a fresh groom. Snow remains on the firmer side following last week’s cold snap, but is expected to soften with warmer temperatures projected for this weekend. Overall, trails are in good condition, with nearly all trails groomed over the past few days.
Event Note: Cross-country Stadium and the Olympic Ski Trail are closed to the public today from 7:00am - 2:00pm today for races. Members of the public can access the trail system at the end of flag row. There is no access to the Cross-Country Stadium via Meadowview, King of Sweden, Coyote or Rundle. Please note skiing these trails will be an out and back.
The fat biking trail FYI is also closed during the event (Jan. 28 - Feb. 1) due to it crossing over Olympic ski trail (which is part of the race course).
The Legacy Trail, parking lots, and sidewalks are particularly icy—please use caution.

15:30-17:00hrs - Olympic CLOSED for Official Training (Skate 1.3k & 1k).
Trails will re-open to the public after 17:00hrs.
Saturday January 31
7:00-17:00hrs - Cross Country Stadium and Olympic CLOSED to public (Skate 1.3k & 1k). Re-open after 17:00hrs.
9:00-9:30hrs - Para Nordic Skiers on Banff Trail/Banff Loop. Remains open to public.
7:00-15:00hrs - Biathlon Stadium, Penalty Loops, Banana Loop CLOSED to public (Skate 500m, 700m & Obstacle course). Re-opens after 15:00hrs.
17:00hrs - Course open for Unofficial Training on Olympic Ski Trail.
Sunday February 01
7:00-16:00hrs - Cross Country Stadium and Olympic CLOSED to public (Skate, 5km, 3k, 2k, 750m).
8:30-9:00hrs - Para Nordic Skiers on Banff Trail/Banff Loop. Remains open to public.
Event take down will commence after racing is wrapped up. Please use caution within the Cross-Country Stadium, Biathlon Stadium and Olympic Ski Trail.
