Winter has certainly taken its time coming to our valley this year! Hailey and Bellevue trails are still great options for getting out on dirt single track if you have the right layers to stay warm. There is snow in the mountains and ideally the forecasted storm will bring more to our valley. Hopefully we will get enough snow to turn on skiing in our valley and finally bid farewell to our dirt trails. If you are heading out to sneak in the last bits of your time on dirt- please pay attention to conditions and temps. If you encounter extended muddy section where you are leaving footprints or tire tracks, please turn back. Pack extra layers, a headlamp for morning and afternoon adventures, and stay warm & safe while you enjoy the trails! Wildlife- With cooler temperatures and winter more snow moving in, wildlife will be moving down into the valley meaning there is a higher potential for encountering wildlife on the trails. Stay aware of your surroundings and if you recreate with dogs, keep them close.
