It was fast and firm yesterday and that will be the case again this morning, though it will soften up as the temp is expected to reach 38F. Cloudy now and no real wind and we may even pick up an inch or two of snow tonight. Trail crew is out grooming with the PistenBully now and should get on most trails, though it still has to go on the slower side to till it all up and leave the good stuff behind. Check out where they have been and where they are going with the live GPS-tracked grooming map and trail list here. Tentative plan is to not groom Morrison and the connecting section of Old County Road, but the team should get on most other trails in the coming hours. The Outdoor Center is open 830AM to 5PM.
Waxless or skin skis would be the go-to today with the temp rising quickly today.
The Cabin is open 10AM to 330PM. Soups du jour will start with Chicken Noodle, Beef Chili, and Cream Of Roasted Garlic & Mushroom, though the soup menu is always evolving with demand. Kaffeehaus baked goods, hot drinks and a warm fire are also helping pull you up the 800 vertical feet to the Cabin. Reminders: (1) the cabin needs to lock up at 330PM and (2) the Cabin is cash only.
