Dec 5th: Considerably less snow accumulated on the Mt Shark trails on Nov 23rd and 24th than anywhere in PLPP, with only a couple of cm's since then. Snow depths range from about 5 to 10 cm's and most or all of this snow fell on bare ground.
Last week some snowmobile reconnaissance was done and there was some packing towards the Banff border where the snow was slightly deeper, but there is not enough snow yet to make packing worthwhile. Hopefully there is adequate snow accumulation in the coming days and snowmobiles and rollers can get out on the trails next week.
Trails were swept for downed trees before the snowfall, and more were removed last week, but with recent high winds there is a possibility of trees down.
