March 15th:  There were partly cloudy skies Thursday overnight with no new snow falling during the grooming. With a mix of snow, sun and some warm temperatures over the last week, trail conditions greeting the snowcat ranged from over 5cm's of fluffy powder, to a crust layer over new snow, to sun exposed areas down to last week's corduroy. The snow was moist in places, especially early in the grooming, and some areas will be firm to start the day.  Most low snow hazards are now covered, though there may be some dirt mixed in on a couple tight corners (at the tops of hills) and there are some thin spots that had melted down to ground or ice a few weeks ago.
