Last night (1/29) the trail was combed by Commissioner Bullock from the Leadville/Lake County Animal Shelter (12th Street) to Highway 24 Stringtown and back. Despite some pavement showing, the skiing is excellent. 

For the best conditions we recommend parking up on County Rd 1 (off 5th Street) or County Rd 3 (off 7th Street).

Additionally, there there’s also a small parking area on County Rd 6 before the Lake County Landfill / Recycling Center.
